How autofocus changed my world

What a fantastic innovation autofocus was.  I started taking pictures when one had to manually focus a camera.  I was never good or fast at that.  In part I blame my eyesight.  Sitting there trying to figure out if something was in focus took me forever.  And if the subject was moving – game over.  I can remember getting my first autofocus camera in the early 90s.  What a change that made in my life.  For the first time I could concentrate on things other than trying to get my pictures in focus.  As much as I love all the technical stuff the content of the photograph is what matters.  A perfectly focused picture of boring stuff is a boring picture.  Having autofocus allows me to concentrate on the composition.
